Much of the work on usability engineering, and therefore much of usability education, has centered on the interface between a software system and the user. However, usability issues arise with nearly all objects. This presentation discusses one approach to teaching students about usability from this broader perspective. Examples of original, free, online, reusable learning objects from these classes and students’ usability research reports will be shared.
